Fri, 14 Nov 2014 05:06:59 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=4.7.9 Comment on About by irene http://www.mycrumblingempire.net/about/comment-page-1/#comment-313 Mon, 09 Aug 2010 16:19:46 +0000 http://latona.us/ami/?page_id=2#comment-313 i’m with you on all of your dislikes. however, i must clarify that dickies are actually different than mock turtlenecks. mock turtlenecks are the low turtleneck collars that do not fold over…..dickies are actually fake collars that are not attached to a shirt. one would wear them underneath a sweater to create the illusion that there is a shirt underneath – even though there isn’t. they sort of tuck into the neckline of a sweater. they were especially popular during the 1950s (think lace collars hanging outside of a form fitting sweater). i absolutely cannot stand mock turtlenecks but have a love of the dickie because it’s sort of sneaky. and the name is cool.

I feel like puffy socks or fold down socks make me look like I have cankles. Knee-highs are good, if my legs aren’t too fat to stretch out the pattern. Those puffy scrunchy socks from the eighties were crazy-my step-sister used to layer them (alternatively) to match her oversize t-shirt with puffy paint and plastic t-shirt clip. So Degrassi. So cool.
